Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress well known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Bettle's musical Two's Company was her first acting role on stage in the 50s. In the 1950s she performed as a stage actor in several Broadway shows before gaining her way to national prominence with Li'l Abner' in 1957. In the same calendar year she released her first music album called This is Tina Time. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a film from 1957 that was a dramatic. This film became a big hit and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. Louise joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work across Broadway as well as Hollywood, portraying more somber roles, as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she also has made an impact as a director who has been successful in various well-known television shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. The family she was born into moved from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for childhood and adolescence. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and has lived there from then on.
