Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese origins, however her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia's parents divorced at the age of two. Her family consisted of her mother who was with the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. The family stayed throughout the world, her principal home was Tokyo, Japan. In the years that followed, she appeared in various local theater productions, and then became a model within the Japanese fashion business. Olivia was a model who moved with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actress was determined to pursue this goal when the family returned to America. Olivia's acting career took off after just a couple of minor roles.
