Luciana Paoluzzi and Maria Rota Paoluzzi were raised in Rome. Luciana Paoluzzi is the daughter of Manlio Paoluzzi (an Italian military officer) and Maria Rota Paoluzzi (a mistress to Benito Mussolini). There is no information available on having siblings. Luciana was a student at the high school in her town, and after graduating in 1955 studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. It was her only female within the class. After two years of study, she started her modeling career. Soon after, she got a chance to appear in Three Coins in the Fountain during a trip to Rome visiting the daughter of her father's friend. Her first marriage was with Brett Halsey who is also an actor. The couple also made Return to the Peyton Palace in 1960 following their wed. The couple had a son named Charles born on the 13th of June 1961 but divorced a year following his birth, and Luciana received custody. Luciana had a long-term relationship with Tony Athony, the actor and producer of films. Tony was influenced by Luciana's role on Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
