Cecily Legler Strong is a popular American comedian and stand-up actor popular as a key part of the cast on 'Saturday night Live'. After taking an improv training class in the age of 9, she began her acting career. She had a dream of making the career of an actor but quickly realized she was in the right place for comedy. She then shifted her focus towards improvised performances. She started her career by performing on cruise ships with fellow participants of Second City Conservatory and iO Chicago. Strong participated in popular shows such as Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She performed with Virgin Daiquiri which is an all-female troupe - as well New York Sketchfest. Strong made her mark in 2012 when she debuted on "Saturday Night Live" in the 39th Season, as a star cast member co-anchoring The Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Her most iconic moment in the show was in the episode 'The Girl You Wouldn't had a conversation with at a Dinner Party'. In the same year she released her debut film an untitled short film entitled "How to sponsor a Uterus'. The actress has spoken out about the way women are treated on the screen as only bikini models, rather than as strong characters in mainstream movies.
